As a specialist paediatric referral hospital in Johannesburg, NMCH was created to give children access to world-class care regardless of their background. We treat appropriately referred children up to the age of 16, serving families across Gauteng, South Africa and the wider SADC region. Our purpose-built 200-bed facility is welcoming and child-friendly, with family lounges, gardens and play areas, and our dedicated multidisciplinary teams provide advanced inpatient and outpatient care\u2014supported by volunteers who help children feel safe, comforted and cared for.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNelson Mandela Children\u2019s Hospital accepts patients by referral only from hospitals in our referral network. To process your referral, please submit your referral letter along with the required documents: proof of ID for the patient and parent\/guardian, a Road to Health Card (if applicable), proof of residence, and proof of income if you\u2019re applying for subsidised care. If you have medical aid, please include your medical aid authorisation number. Private and foreign patients will need a cost estimate from NMCH Credit Control, and foreign patients must also provide a letter of guarantee. Send everything to referral@nmch.org.za or deliver it to the hospital\u2019s main reception.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
